You will need:

I-130

I-485

I-864

G-325a

I-693

possibly I-765, if you want to work.

For those who don't know, the procedure is different for those people who are trying to adjust while in the US already. You need to send all of the forms together.

Please, if you're not sure of something, don't answer, or clarify that you're not sure. We don't want to give the OP wrong information.

Husband and I adjusted from VWP, with some rather significant overstay. ;)

Thank you for adjusting a previous statement. It's been incredibly confusing because I'm being fed so much different facts and information that I don't even know right from wrong anymore! I was so excited to think that I could apply my I-130 now and work towards affording the rest of the paperwork, but I'm glad that I didn't mistakenly do so and find myself in a rut for it.

Thanks to everyone else who also gave advice. Regardless of whether it's correct or not, I do appreciate the willingness to help.

I will file all documents together, have my medical done prior to mailing my forms, and will deter from filing for AP.

I will go past my 180 days doing this (which is unfortunate, but that's my own bad) but hoping from there on things will be okay.

Also, I remembered that I will be flying a couple of states north for a wedding in a couple of weeks. Is there a chance that this could be problematic and risky to do so, or is traveling without USA generally okay despite being an overstay who has yet to file any paperwork? :\

as long as ICE/CBP do not stop you and request to see your I-94/passport, you should be ok.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS
