You should get it this week... As soon as it arrives setup an account at USCIS website.. using the # they give you on the NOA you will be able to monitor your case.

Oh so you get the NOA1 before the check is cashed ?

NOA1 is just stating that they received the case.. Right ?

Mostly when the check is cashed, this means you got your NOA1 (Note of Arrival) . Could take a lil longer because the NOA1 has to be mailed.

Good luck on your Journey

Really fast. The fastest part of the process, except the big kiss when you two finally meet again!!!!

Usually (underline 'usually') the check is cashed very soon after the petition is delivered. Your NOA1 (Notice of Action/I-797c) may get sent out anywhere from a week to a month later (processing starts when the petition is received, regardless when you get your NOA1).

You submitted your I-129F on the sixth, meaning that if you sent it via parcel post, so far you have given them basically a one or two work days to cash it. That means that you expect USCIS get your package, open it, strip off the check and hand the check over to an amoured car so that they can take it to a bank where they will then unload the car, process the check, credit the USCIS account, debit the account in your bank, probably owned by a different company, and then have your bank notify you that your account has been debited all within eight to sixteen hours. It's almost unreasonable to expect them to be able to do it that quickly. Checks take several days to clear. It's just the way it is.
