Sitcoms have writers. Those guys get paid to come up with witty one-liners. Have our lives become sitcoms? Life imitating art?

Speaking for myself, I grew up on Mystery Science Theater (3000). They were gods!

Hodgson initially came up with the concept for the "Mystery Science Theater".[2] The "3000" suffix was added later to sound like a version number (as in "HAL 9000").

It's funny that you brought that up....I was at the movies a couple of weeks ago and it never fails that there's at least one wisecrack who says something out loud.
