Hello everyone!

I have not posted here in awhile, but I wanted to share with everyone my status. We started our visa journey on Aug 11 2008 and my wife's visa was approved on June 3, 2009. Since we had a baby in between, the US embassy in Manila is holding my wifes visa until they submit documents for our son- we needed to apply for a CRBA and US passport for our son before they can enter the US. We've since submitted all the required documents and my wife has an interview for our sons documents on July 23 this month in Manila. It usually takes 2-3 weeks after that interview to get our sons documents, then about another week after that for the embassy to give my wife her visa. If all goes well (which I am praying it will), my family will be here with me by mid august. So for everyone who just started or is still in limbo, don't give up hope! We'll all be together with our families soon!

Take care everyone and good luck

Well, congrats on your little angel. Good Luck on a speedy process for his papers and I hope they are here in Aug :)

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
