Christianity is based on faith, the evidence hope for and not seen. My father is Moroccan and my mother is a White American woman and they have been married 36yrs. I was tought and respect with the highiest regards Christian values but raised Muslim. I don't like how others try to destort the Word of GOD/ALLAH by discrediting or attempting to prove the false hood in one's belief. My mother was heaven sent to my Father and he would be the first one to tell you. I know what it is like to respect all religions and live in harmony because I did it in my own household all of my life with my parent's and their friends. My father would say that my mother have Muslim ways, and my mother would say that my father had some good Christian ways. So what that told me is that GOD/ALLAH is the center of all things and that we all must respect him and worship him first. I just so happen to believe in the role that JESUS plays in one's salvation in Christianity just as I believe that the Prophet Muhammad was a messenger sent by ALLAH. The bottom line is that I respect other peoples beliefs and I know that this world would be a much better place if we all did. May the flood gates of Heaven rain down blessings on those that don't judge or condem others for their beliefs. Ameen.

I didn't mean for it to be a debate and as a Muslim with a Christian mother and family (dad Moroccan/mom American), I am open minded with respect and interest in all beliefs. I just posted this as "news from CNN". Sorry if I offended anyone.

Here's a link to the project itself: http://www.codexsinaiticus.org/en.

Fascinating, really, however it's a bit disappointing that none of the pages but the main page appear to work. Perhaps it's a traffic issue?

The world's oldest known Christian Bible goes online Monday -- but the 1,600-year-old text doesn't match the one you'll find in churches today.

It is suggesting that the bible teachings are inacurate.

You did not offend me Sister. It was the article that I just don't care for at all. It is a known fact that there is 7 books that were not put in the bible, but you can purchase them. It's just another attempt of humans trying to bring about devision in religion, and I don't like that at all. I have seen articles and writtings that condem the Holy Quran, and just as much anger came over me.

I knew someone was going to go there with this topic.

Of course it doesn't match. IT'S WRITTEN IN GREEK. Not only that, it's DIGITIZED and the pieces, the actual parts of it, are scattered throughout the globe.

And unless English speakers also read and understand Arabic, formal Arabic, their Qu'ran doesn't match the one you'll find in, say, Saudi or Yemen.

If your intention is to pick a fight about the validity of the Bible, let's go. If, on the other hand, your intention is to discuss the value of such an important document, we can do that, too.

none of the bibles match. The Catholic bible doesn't match the King James, etc. etc. They all are different in some respect whether it is different wording or including or excluding certain books. That's been known for centuries. Kenza was just trying to link to an article about an historical event, I think, nothing else.

Yes, I meant for it to be news. Even as Muslims we believe in the old testament. This is NOT A DEBATE and what Ihavequestions said is true about the languages

As a devote Muslim woman I don't have nothing to prove to anybody but ALLAH first and then my Husband. Nor will I debate his Holy Word because it is forbidden.

Then why are you perpetuating the hate?
