Yet the quality of digital has not reached the quality of film.

Must be why the popularity of film cameras are rising again.

This is the 2nd funniest quote of the day...

Maybe your $19 1.3MP camera isn't as good as film, but the 10MP cameras make film cameras look like... well... film cameras.

The only place that the popularity of film cameras is rising in, is a place that just discovered them.

A family friend of ours is a professional wedding photographer. I have had her do pictures of other things for me, and when I had an 8x10 picture printed out, I couldn't see ANY pixels or anything, completely indistinguishable. She uses one of those fancy 10MP cameras too. (I have to comment, however, that on the computer screen, any sun-in-blonde-hair pictures look like straw - but print out beautifully)

Also, when Nik was visiting, we went to Costco to get the passport photos - It was super cheap.

well i went to walmart yesterday and they told me they couldn't do it cause they don't do glossy paper :(

if you have a digital camera, take a good photo, upload it to your computer, then go to the following website and follow the instruction, then send the photo that you created on epassportphoto.com to cvs.com or walgreens.com and go pick it up in an hour.

http://epassportphoto.com

After you upload the photo into this website, you create a digital photo with 5 passport pics on it, all for the price of printing that digital photo, typically about 20 cents. If you need 6 pics, you will have to develop 2 copies. You will have to cut them yourself though, but that's not too hard.

I would take 3-4 different photos and put them into epassportphoto.com then print them all out because sometimes, digital photos look a little different on the screen then printed. It will still only cost a small fraction of the ridiculous prices that they charge at any department store or pharmacy chain.
