Oath letter delay- Should I be worried?

Hello All:

I took my citizenship interview on May 5th 2009 in the Washington DC Fairfax office and it was a breeze. This was based on a 3 year marriage rule to a US citizen. The officer recommended me for approval on the spot. On May 16th, I was scheduled for my fingerprinting appointment (my prints expired in April 2009). And since then, silence! Should I be worrried that I have not received an oath letter? It's been 2 months and I am starting to worry. I called the misinformation line and they were not helpful at all. I did have to apply for a name change during the interview and the officer said that it would take a little longer to receive my letter because of that but 2 months!!!! Please lend some advice.

Thanks,

You could try making an InfoPass appointment to see if they can tell you what is going on. The 800 number is worthless.

It's possible they're waiting to get a court date for the name change.
