G-325A Employment: Co-Founder of my own German GbR?

Hello!

I hope to be able to find anybody from Germany here who could perhaps help me with my problem:

I'm currently filling out my G-325A. I am from Germany, really looking forward to finally move to and marry my girl in the USA.

Now I am having a slight problem about being unsure on how to enter information into the employment of the last 5 years fields.

For the last three years I have been self-employed, however before that I have been a professional musician for 7 years. The band consisted of seven people, all of us have been co-founders of a German "GbR" (Gesellschaft des buergerlichen Rechts). Leo Dictionary translates this as something like "partnership organized under the Civil Code". Now I am unsure on how to enter this into the employment information fields.

Can I call it "Self-employed" because basically all the seven of us self-employed ourselfs?

Should I enter the name of the GbR as employer? If so maybe add "(co-founder)" or "(self-emplyed)" behind it?

I am rather clueless. Help of any sort would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like self-employed to me. You could name the company (yours) with self-employed.
