RFE for I-693

After receiving my AP and EAD a couple of days ago, I thought I had my GC in the mail today.

Instead, I got this I-797E blue paper stating that I need to submit additional evidence.

What confuses me is what they actually needed me to submit.

Here is what it says:

"A review of the record indicates that you entered the US pursuant to a valid K1 non-immigrant visa. All USCIS records relating to you have been reviewed.

The US Department of State medical forms DS-2053, DS-3024, DS-3025, and DS-3026 are not in any of those records.

This office did receive your complete Vaccination Results with your I-485 filing, but the incomplete I-693 submitted is insufficient in meeting the other necessary medical requirements."

I am positive that the only paper that I got after having my medical was my DS-3025 paper. So, where should I get the other forms? Do I need to submit those too or just the only form that applies to my case?

I had Dr. Arnold's services and he did the I-693 for me. Just wondering, does his office attached the DS3025 together with the I-693 forms inside the sealed envelope?

Or not? Coz thats the reason I didn't add anything else pertaining to my I-693 thinking that his office attached a copy of the DS-3025 in it.

Anyways, I am very frustrated right now. I am looking forward for any help and answers to my questions.

This happens from time to time, somehow the medical data got lost either at the Embassy and was not put into the immigrations packet (The Brown Envelope) or Lost in transit to USCIS.

You will need to find a US Civil Surgeon and get a compleate I-693 done for the RFE.

Really? So, do I need to redo my medical? The only thing I had was my DS-3025 (Vaccination Documentation Worksheet).

And I never opened the brown envelope. So I'm pretty sure that wasn't my fault.

My I-693 was already done by Dr. L. E Arnold was submitted together with the AOS packet.

Yes this is what USCIS has told you, they did not receive the medical data from the consulate, and a new I-693 needs to be done, the FULL medical this time.

Yes this is what USCIS has told you, they did not receive the medical data from the consulate, and a new I-693 needs to be done, the FULL medical this time.

That's CRAAAZY! Is there anything we could do to prevent the FULL medical?

There have been others here who objected that they had already submitted the medical when they received similar RFEs. Their applications were then adjudicated without the medical and denied. They had to either re-file or try to re-open their cases and needed to get the medical redone. It sucks, especially when you know it is their fault, but I don't think you want to risk being right against having your application denied. All you can really do is redo the medical and submit it. Good luck.

Correct, especially with the case bing at CSC, more than likely as soon as you send them the full I-693, they will approve the I-485 without an interview.

Redoing the whole medical is BS!!!!!!! We spent almost $500 on it. The full medical, the hassle of travelling to the shittiest place in PI and the stress it had caused me!!

Were thinking of doing that before doing anything in response to RFE. I also had my Chest Radiograph CD, the POE Immigration Officer returned it to me.

Just the thought of redoing the whole medical is basically making us frustrated.

We are not financially stable to get one. With the vaccines, can we skip it since I had proof that I did got vaccines prior to my US arrival?

DS-3025 will eliminate the Vaccinatios part of this.

There are NO "Other forms", info pass will be a waste of time, the medical form used by USCIS is I-693, which can be downloaded, or the US Civil Surgeon will have one.

And it happens, The medical can be lost at the consulate, lost at the POE, lost at MSC, or lost at CSC. The paperwork changes many hands.

Yes bring the DS-3025 with you when you have a new medical done by the US Civil Surgeon, they should simply transfer them to the I-693.

The same thing happened to my stepdaughters about a month ago.

We filed AOS in February, got transferred to CSC in March. In late April got their AP's and EAD's. Then the next day, we got the same blue RFE.

The wording was exactly the same. Basically, they lost the medical results that you gave them at POE. I know we had the medical results in the brown envelope because the corners were cut and I basically was able to browse through everything in there without opening it. So, I KNOW they lost it between POE and USCIS. And we still had to do a full exam. But because they're kids, it only cost us $80 each for the full exam since the vaccinations were up to date.

4/21-We received the RFE (we were given until 5/12 to return completed I-693)

4/24-We did the exam

5/1-Picked up the forms and mailed them the same day by Priority Mail

5/4-Forms were received at CSC

5/7-I received a CRIS email that processing had resumed

5/19-I received CRIS email that card production ordered and welcome letter sent

My advice... do some research and find the least expensive Civil Surgeon in your area. Make sure to tell them that all your vaccinations are in order and you only need an exam, PPD tes for tuberculosis, and a blood test for HIV/Syphillis. I shouldn't cost more than $200, but some areas don't have many CS's so they have a monopoly. In the NYC area, we have about 320 civil surgeon so we can shop around a little, but some cities don't have more than 1 or 2.

If I had known this before hand, we could have got a new medical rather than getting Dr. Arnold's services and had him transcribe my I-693 that was with the AOS packet.

It is valid for 1 year HOWEVER it was LOSTin the process, USCIS does not have the record, so is asking for another one done.

In most cases the vaccination record is all that is needed because USCIS has the visa medical record.

Just get another copy of your I-693 from your civil surgeon. When I had my I-693 the woman at the civil surgeon's clinic gave us a photocopy of my I-693. Always make a back up copy on the papers that you submitted in the USCIS.
