my application for the adjustment of status from a k1 visa to a legal resident (sent may 7, 2009) has been received by the uscis, i got the receipt notice this week (may 18) and another separate mail for a schedule of the biometrics. my concern is that the middle name registered in the record and written on the notices is -- which is my middle name printed on my passport and visa, not my last name which is --. Since I am a filipino, my last name becomes my middle name once i get married. what i am worried about is that it should be Marinel Mejo Knackstedt. I wanted to correct my middle name before they sent me my green card. I know this is my fault cause im such a dumbass and was careless, i didnt think about it. I wrote in the application forms (I-485 and G325A) Empancho instead of Mejo cause i was thinking they would check it in reference to my passport and visa. I searched the USCIS website about a correction of personal information but i didnt find an answer or a form to do it, i also called their toll free number but i didnt get a chance to talk to a real person. most were recorded instructions.

can anyone please help me or share some advice/information on what should i do? this error is my fault. i want my middle name corrected. is there a form that i am going to fill out and send to them? or should i write a letter? some told me in the united states, the middle name is not a big deal. they always retain their middle names. but to me it is, to prevent future complications with my papers, in case i renew my passport or work related matters.

would highly appreciate your respond.

thanks.
