We went up to the German bakery last night. Benny wanted to check it out and he's missing German things. There was a sign that said they're looking for work so he asked for an application. They said the boss is in everyday but Tuesday/Thursday and it's best to speak to him after 1pm. So, Benny's going back up there this afternoon to see if he can get some kind of job! Please wish him luck.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

They only want to pay $8/hr so Benny wasn't to thrilled with that. He spoke with the owner solely in German and got the impression that he really wanted to hire a female waitress. This was never actually said but that's just what he felt. The owner asked for him to come back Monday. We're trying to figure out the logistics if he does get the job there since we're down to one car right now. I work nearly 2 miles northwest of home; the bakery is nearly 10 miles northeast of home.

haha

Someone at work said he should do that because German women aren't necessarily distinguishable as women.

To tell you the truth, $8 per hour to be a waiter is ok - waiters make more money in tips. I'd say better employed than unemployed so at least some money is coming into the house. In the meantime, he can look for other better paying jobs and once he finds a better one it's easy to quit this one.

Just my 2 cents...

Nope, but next time I'm up there I'll check them out. I lived there for a bit in 2005, I was there to help open the Puck's restaurant in IMA.
