ATTENDING IR1 INTERVIEW- After Entering US on K3 VISA

If I enter USA on a K3 visa and do not file for AOS can I then attend my IR1 interview in Canada?? Will there be any issues??

-- Flipping the K3 interview for IR1 is not a solution as 2 different consulates are involved

-- Currently I am looking at an IR1 interview date about 4 months after NVC @ Montreal (i.e. If I get scheduled for a interview in April 2009

Have you applied for both? We received our K-3 in Aug. 2007, and we have an IR-1 interview April 28, 2009. It is possible. Your time line doesn't show the K-3, where are you? Mike & Yizhen

Yes I filed and was approved for both I 130 and I 129F

Where would the K-3 interview take place? If you don't return the P-3, you will have the CR-1/IR-1 almost as quickly. You can get the K-3 and then go to Canada for the CR-1/IR-1 interview after, it should follow very quickly. Good Luck, Mike & Yizhen
