I would contact DOS visa services. 202-663-1225 http://travel.state.gov/about/info/info_308.html#visa

If you can prove that this was not with your permission then someone MISREPRESENTED and this can cause a visa to be denied.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

I trusted a person close to me. I was told everything would be ok. Yes, I signed the I-134 & the I-864, but then the person disappeared because they were in possession of illegal ID.No they have not used the ID yet (that I know of)but...now they are gone, hiding while their ppw is approved.

Maybe just go ahead and call and explain the situation....

call whom? I called immigration, they said send a letter, but I have not case # to link my letter to, so its kinda like passing in the night, wishful thinking. As immigration explained it to me, if this non-immigrant is w/o work, or files for benefits, I am liable to repay the benefits up to 40 wks & the non-immigrant can force me to pay support for them (10 yrs) until they either die, go back to their country or get a job. Needless to say, I am very pissed off at the family member that dupped me(also on this forum) and that I am required to do all this.

If you signed an I-864 and it was successfully used to obtain a green card, you cannot revoke it or it's potential impact for the future. If the LPR status (green card) has not been obtained yet, you can. Perhaps without a case number, you can find out the status of your affidavit with only the name of the petitioner and/or beneficiary. It's worth a try.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
Understanding the big picture is priceless. Anonymous
