I know that you have said that authorities cannot help, but I do not believe that there is much more than we can tell you on this forum that others have not stated already. I'm really sorry that you are in the position you are in! I can't imagine what it must feel like to worry about what picture you make as your facebook profile pic, for example!

I have no idea what country you are in and therefore have no idea about what laws and/or agencies are there to help prevent this type of thing from happening. In short, as others have said, USCIS will most likely not accept any 'random tip' (as you put it) without talking to you at all. I'm sure that you have done a lot of research of how to avoid this person from affecting your life and what the options you have available to you as far as getting the authorities involved, but as far as I can see, you have two choices.

1. do nothing and hope that they don't mess up anything for you for the rest of your life or 2. get a lawyer and try really really hard to somehow charge this person for the crimes they are commiting against you!

As others have stated, as far as we know, there is no way for you to contact the USCIS and inform them to not pay attention to random tips about you. I think this alone would cause a red flag to your case.

There's nothing this person can do.

Mailing off the I-129F isn't the "hard part", it's the easy part.

Going through the immigration process as a fiancé(e) is tough enough without inventing spooks who have high-level government contacts who can block your application.

In reality, it sounds as though this person doesn't need to lift a finger to stop you, as if you keep on heading down this road, you'll have had a nervous breakdown long before it comes to that.

This process is tough emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Don't make it tougher.

So,

this person is outside the US, but they have ties to the US gov?

they stalk you online by using your friends profiles?

As someone else asked, how do they know where you work? even if they saw your profile through friends'..why would you list such info online? you probably havent, which means IF this is happening....you have a leak in your friend network. fix it.

who exactly did they contact to sabatoge you in the past...employers, ect?

I would say that you set your online profiles to private. Dont worry about the visa process, even if by some slim chance the person contacted some agency that listened to whatever wild claim...they would have to investigate it.

You need to delete your facebook, myspace and livejournal accounts and start new ones using a unique username and not your name ... changing your password will do nothing since this person would have the page bookmarked ... once you change these pages set them on private and only allow people you know are real friends join by invite only ....

Also change all your email accounts ... again, do not use your name or variations of your name and instead use a unique username eg TicklesRox1975@*******.com something along those lines .... make sure those are set on private also....

FBI may not be able to help you because your reside outside the US but your country will have an equivilant eg Federal Police, CIA ....

Lastly change your mobil/cell number and landline and get a silent number... and only give it to personal friends ... I suspect your brother is not the only person you need to watch, I suspect you may have another informant getting back to your stalker...

Far as your petition goes, how will this chick know what your doing unless your telling everyone ... get yourself a PO box so you know your mail is safe and keep it zipped, no one needs to know your business but yourself ...

u should look for strike key program on ur computer, make all of ur sites private, and dont answer the phone when that person calls

i dont know i think ur worried about to much infact more than the person can do but u would know that facts better than the rest of us

I have not "invented spooks." I do not know what level or what department of contacts this person has. This person is a real person. Unfortunately. I really wish this was a figment of my imagination.

Mailing it off is the hard part, in my opinion, because everything from that point on is moving forward. It can be as hard and long as it wants, but it is moving forward. The period prior to sending it in was exceedingly hard because nothing can move forward until you get to that point. It felt rather like limbo. Even if my case takes two years, at least it will be moving (however slowly), which will make it easier than the year it has taken us to get everything into place to be able to put in the application. Perhaps it is a matter of perspective, but, as much as I hate waiting, it is MUCH easier when something is actually going to happen than when you are trying to sort out if it can ever happen and learn everything you can about it. I have not gone through a visa process before, but I have gone through the fundraising for many very expensive trips. Once the money is in place for those trips, even if the details are foggy and you don't have an exact date yet, the wait and the work becomes much easier for me.

I am glad to hear from various people that it is much more difficult than I thought to leave anonymous tips and so on with the USCIS.

I have deleted everything on multiple occasions. Everything. And restarted. This is my fifth online identity and two of the ones that I literally did not give to anyone on the planet who could link it back to my own identity have been uncovered by this individual. One was a throwaway account used for a single posting. I have even changed my operating system so that if this person had installed anything onto my computer, they could not use those programs again.

I will continue to make my complaints to the authorities, but I have very little faith that anything will come of it.

Well you can try and find them, gather evidence get a lawyer and file cease and desist and restraining orders. At lkest the orders will give you proof that you are at least worried about this person. Finding the person can be easy or very difficult. However I don't see how immigration will know what they have been saying about you unless they know you are filing something with them and sends them a letter or something like that. To find a person stick a blank paper in an envelope and address it to them at the last known address, then put plenty of postage on it. on the lower left hand corner write DO NOT FOWARD, ADDRESS CORRECTION REQUESTED. It will go around the world as long as you have enough postage until the mail person actually finds the correct address willwrite it on the envelope and send it back to you.. the person you are looking for will never know you sent anything.

I'm not saying that you invented the person, merely that you're imbuing them with some quite extraordinary and far-reaching powers. Perhaps the reality isn't as bad as you fear.

Well it's good that you feel that way. Most people find the months of waiting with no information as to what's going on, gathering up a small mountain of paperwork, filling out yet more forms, having a medical, trying to get an interview date, and then going to the interview a lot more stressful than mailing off the petition.

If you feel differently, it should make the whole process a lot easier for you.

Just try not to stress things that will probably never happen.

well the sad thing about a key strike program or key logger program is that if u have any pics u use that has been sent to u by that person u again infect ur computer if u install what ever u got from them plus there is a program u can get that will be able to break passwords but for that the person would have to know ur user name and if ur not sharing that with anyone it is reasonable to think that at some point a program like i have listed above has been attached to something that person sent u or something that someone sent u that knows that person and u keep loading it back on ur computer every time u change computers also could be attached to something u received in the email from that person or someone that knows that person and u keep adding it to ur new system.............................

I agree with what others have posted here. If you do get a lawyer and do at least to attempt to file some sort of claim against this person, IF they make any sort of complaint to USCIS you can at least show them evidence that this person has been bothering you for a long time in other aspects of your life. If you really think they might make an issue out of your petition, do this so you have a back-up!

Also, interesting to find out about how to find someone -by sending the envelope around! Possibly a good peice of information to know if I ever need to find anyone!

and one more thing if u ever get notice of a card or something from someone and when u click on the site for the card if it asks for ur password its not a real site......mmm let me think what else.........yup even a yahoo site if ur logged in and u know it and u try to click on something and it asks for ur password dont give it just click out of it and start again i had that happen to me once and took me a year to fix everything and about six months to even realize that i had been smacked with it.

I appreciate your concerns..my ex-husband, whose goal in life seems to make my life miserable....works with homeland security -in my eyes, one small step away from immigration. And I waited through our the entire K1 visa process for the shoe to drop; to find out that he some how was able to "sabotage" my application..

Then I was assured an attorney friend (whom specializes in immigration law) that all the paperwork etc was private and there was no way he could do anything to jeopardize the application without my knowledge...

So, keep that in mind- don't let this individual/situation ruin this exciting time - think positively and plan your future with your new love.

I'm the beneficiary. The FBI can't really do anything for me as far as cybercrimes go as this happens outside of the US.

My concern is that the person might have some kind of government contact that would allow this person to get some kind of information regarding my case number or something of that nature. This individual recently returned to my home country after having worked for several years for the US government. I do not know which departments this person worked with.

I also am concerned that this person could launch some kind of complaint with the USCIS that I am simply doing this for the greencard or something of that nature. I have heard of a neighbour or something launching such a complaint while reading through this site, I believe. This kind of allegation, I believe, could have some serious repercussions--but I do not know. I have never seen an issue like this so I am asking what this person COULD do and if there is a way to combat it.

This individual has several methods of getting information about me, which include watching my friends' and former friends' facebooks and myspaces and this individual has hacked my livejournal on at least one occasion (as this individual openly called a family member about a locked journal entry that was made years and years ago. It should be noted that this was the first incident and I ceased using journals and blogs at that point). I do not know if this individual has ever hacked anything else, but I regularly change my passwords on my email and so on and I have asked that my friends do the same. I know that this person collects information through my younger brother, with whom this person has maintained a close relationship. I live in a very small community and, while I do not speak to my brother, anything that is said to anyone about anything spreads like wildfire and gets back to my brother. I have taken measures such as having friends remove all mention of me from their facebook and myspace and I have attempted to stop things from getting back to my brother by asking people not to speak to him of me and by refusing to talk to people about things, but that has proven futile as I recently discovered that one of my friends was passing information to my brother, not out of any malicious intent towards me, but simply because my brother expressed interest and this friend did not realize that my brother was one of the issues in information getting back to my "stalker." I have since ceased speaking of anything of consequence to this friend.

The person who has been doing this to me will take a grain of truth and spin it into a lie. A joke with a friend becomes an attempt to commit fraud in this person's world. A rant about wedding planning becomes proof that I suffer from delusions because of sarcastic comments within the rant. A short story I write that is a work of complete fiction (and labeled as such) becomes proof that I am spinning a series of lies about my life and I should be sedated and locked away.

I am concerned that this person could do damage to my visa application but do not know how. I believe that this person will attempt to do so.

I am sorry but I do have to say this. If I was in your situation where I felt that someone was out to get me and doing all the things you have talked about. the last thing I would be doing is to be on-line in any way shape or form. I would stop using a computer or at least I would never connect it to the internet. I would stop discussing any of my personal business with anyone, including family, I would be keeping a very low profile. I would have my land line disconnected and use a cell phone, changing the number every 6 months.

I feel you are giving more credit to this person than they deserve. They have got to you and you are empowering them by taking the perceived threats to heart.

If you do not put out information about yourself then other can not find out about it.
