i am on a k3 visa. just got here this week. we had been to the local social security office but she said that we could not apply for ssn coz i didnt ahve a ead. is she right or do i need a ssn while applying for aos. also i am just confirming what forms are required- I 485, i 864, I 765 and the G 325a . do we need the form 693 . i ahve the copy of teh form 3025 from my medical fo rthe k3 visa. isnt the A# the same as the one found on the 130 approval. can i apply fo rmy green card on my married name.

You should be able to apply for SSN before receiving EAD, but you said you just got here this week, it's best to wait 2 weeks after arriving to apply for SSN

The A# is the same one on the I-130 approval

Yes, you can apply for your green card in your married name, just send in a copy of the marriage certificate along with all the other required documents.

Day 147 - Mar. 20 '12: Biometrics completed

Day 156 - Mar. 29 '12: Email: Interview scheduled, letter in mail

Day 190 - May. 02 '12: Interview Completed, Passed, Oath same day
