Birth date wrong

Ok...not quite sure how this happened. I KNOW I filled out the right birth date for my SO. I called NVC, and the person there slipped up and said they already sent it out to the embassy, but then she said whoops I have to verify the information. So I gave her the SO's DOB, but she said that's not right. Since they already sent it to the embassy, is it just a matter of calling the embassy and changing it? Or do I need to contact NVC and USCIS as well?

Wherever you file is at... If it has already gone beyond USCIS or NVC there is nothing they can or will care to do.

The Alien ("A") file is what is being sent around from USCIS/NVC/Consulate... If it is corrected in the "A" file then it is corrrected. That is why you must correct it wherever the "A" is currently at.
