Name Change question during process of Visa

I (I am the Petitioner) changed my name to my wife's last family name legally (court order, social security card, everything has been oficially updated with my new name).

How do I update NVC or any other interested party on my name change? I ask because now I must submit I-864 documents and all of the current information from my employer will be with my new last name while my tax returns from previous will be in my old last name.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

i just changed my name too to my married name during the process of am i-130 petition. I sent a letter to NVC regarding my new name with my naturalization certificate and they immediately updated their records.

Same here, all IRS forms were under my maiden name while employment certificate and pay stubs are with my new name.

So go ahead and mail your request with a copy of your passport or any other documents to verify your the name change.

:D

Thanks for help! I thought if I sent something it it would be okay but wasn't sure if I was just waisting my stamps because I don't see a special section for this!

I was told by the USCIS that I had to go into the nearest field office to do a name change.

Luvnevrymin!!! :-)
