EAD before AOS. Mistake?

Hi.

I have just applied online for an EAD (Empoyment Authorization Document) before I have started the AOS (not married yet).

That was a mistake since my EAD (when approved) will expire in less than 90 days now, right?

Is there a way to postpone the EAD process until I get married or does anyone know what else could be done?

Thanks.

I didn't think you could apply for your EAD until you got married. When you apply for your AOS, you also apply for an EAD and AP at the same time, under 1 filing fee..... I'm not really sure how you applied for an EAD without your AOS....

The 90 EAD rule only applies when you get a stamp in your passport when you cross the border.

Removing Conditions

Sent package to VSC - 8/12/11

NOA1 - 8/16/11

Biometrics - 9/14/11

I am afraid you have wasted your money. You have applied for a EAD that will only be valid for 90 days from the date you entered the US on your K1. By the time USCIS have processed it the 90 will be up or there will only be a very short time left.

There is nothing you can do to put the application on hold. Once you are married you can file for AOS and EAD and AP all for the one fee $1010.00.
