Every time I called USCIS to get my case status,a service request was placed and I never received a response after that.I was pretty frustated so I called this time and when the guy said I will do another service request I told him that It doesn't help at all,he suggested to get an appiontment and I did.I just saw today that my case was touched yesterday so should I cancel my infopass and give it a couple of weeks to see if it gets approved. Also does infopass appointment help or its just a waste of time like calling USCIS.Does any one have experience of infopass at NYC,how long you have to wait for your turn on average.

Infopass in my experience was like standing in line at the post office when you already have stamps.

The infopass folks have very little experience, and very little ability to do much more than hand you some forms.

They can't advise you on anything, they can't expedite anything...all they can do is give you the same information you'd get on their website.

Obviously I have nothing against immigrants (I married one) but I was very surprised that the person at the Infopass counter had very poor English skills,

and no they weren't Hispanic.

If you have an appointment, once you make it through security it should be pretty fast...that's the only plus...no waiting.

I think the security guards are there to protect the employees from the customers they don't help.

Maybe someone else has had a better experience...but that's mine.

woow, i feel your pain--- i am in the same boat, we got married in 2006, had to wait for the first interview for almost 1 and a half years, then for 6 months and no response, called senator's office and still no response. called the 1800 # and made numerous service requests!!! still nothing, worst of all went for an infopass and the lady couldnt tell me anything. stay encouraged, alot of other folks are waiting!!!!!!!!!!!1
