Too Many Emoticons?

Greetings, and Happy New Year. Is there a new "feature" with regard to the use of emoticons? I keep getting the following message, even though I counted only 4 emoticons in my post.....

THE FOLLOWING ERROR(S) WERE FOUND

You have posted a message with more emoticons that this board allows. Please reduce the number of emoticons you've added to the message

(BTW..... there's a typo in the first sentence..... "that" should be "than". You're welcome. lol)

Yes, initially. Then I removed their emoticons and some of mine. Got them down to four..... and got the same message. Maybe I'm special.

Hmmmmm. I guess I was only special for a brief moment of time. Apparently there's no longer a problem.
