Lied to british Embassy!!!!

Hello Vjers!

I got am email from a friend telling me she applied for Student visa feb 2008 and was denied on the ground that she doesnt have sufficient ties to show that she would return and that her statement of account was fake, the statement of account was genuine so her bank wrote an acknowlegement of the statement for her to return and re apply for the visa, but she didnt anymore cos at same time she got interview to canadian embassy to meet her finacee, after which she migrated, now she is in canada and wants to go on an all expense paid vacation with her canadian husband and while filling the form the husband wrote that she had never applied for british visa, although it was with her now expired passport that she used then, so this is a new electronic visa she applied with different fro the old one she used when she was refused, now she is livid with fear that she cant accompany her husband cos of the blunders.

Any advice, should they fill out another application or what and would it affect her chances for getting the visa? they applied for just 2weeks tourist visas.

You're asking me for permission to get on the phone?

If you give me that much power, I will abuse it. No, you may not get on the phone and make her feel better.

Meanwhile can we stick to the question or resist from diverting the thread, i wasnt hoping to start something hillarious or a vjmeet, i was asking questions for answers?

Is this a capital offence or something that can be ignored?

Thats all i ask. have combed the british immigration website as little as i know but have seen nothing really partaining to that...
