I just sent in my I-130 application on friday, jan 02, but I think my lawyer's assistant didn't include the copy of my birth certificate. In case they didn't include it, what should I do? Should I send it separetely? And will this delay the process?

Did he send a copy of your passport? If he did you are covered. If not you may get the whole package back. Don't try and send in now. Very little chance of marrying up with the original petition. You'll have to wait.

Lawyer isn't getting off to a very good start!

Are you the petitioner or beneficiary?

We didn't present my US petitioner husband's birth certificate, only a copy of his passport and it was fine

Beneficiary's BC is not required for the initial petition. Lawyer was OK! So far!
