I'm in no mood today and have no escape valve. Besides, he totally deserved it.

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Hey Stilltheprettiest,

We got informed yesterday that I got my EAD and AP ordered. What a relief, let's hope it's your turn next.

Get on to the ombudsman office - that's what seemed to do it for us. Their email address is CISOmbudsman.Publicaffairs@dhs.gov.

They responded to me in a very few hours saying ...

"Thank you for informing our office about the delay with your Employment Authorization Document (EAD) application. We understand how important it is for you to receive your EAD on time. Your email indicates that you filed in early October. Our records show that you filed October 9, 2008. USCIS has 90 days to process EAD applications and it is still within processing times. However, it will reach beyond processing times in a few days and we understand the importance of being able to work and support your family.

We are going to look into your case directly and follow-up with USCIS. You should receive a response shortly from USCIS. Please allow sufficient time for us to look into your case. If you do not hear anything in a week, please email our office again.

The CIS Ombudsman has made a recommendation that USCIS process all cases within 90 days. Please visit our website to read our Recommendation #35 at: http://www.dhs.gov/ximgtn/programs/editorial_0769.shtm "

did it have to be the USC who writes to the ombudsman? or does it not matter?

His 10 year GC took a whopping 66 days. I love CSC!

Only 66 days? Wow! Our LOC is still pending at VSC almost a year later though it is nearly done... filed for citizenship already anyway...
