A woman dialled 999 furious she could not get through to vote for Strictly Come Dancing winner Tom Chambers.

It was just one of a string of ridiculous emergency calls over the Christmas period. reports the Daily Mirror.

Others included a priest complaining he was not allowed to use a toilet in a WH Smith store and a man who said shop staff had put unwanted mushrooms on his pizza.

Another caller dialled 999 to report Santa was breaking into a house with Rudolf.

Greater Manchester Police got almost 5,000 emergency calls but a "significant portion" were from people who did not need them.

Supt Karan Lee said: "This puts lives at risk."

Stritctly Come Dancing is called Dancing with the Stars in the US :P

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

Good Lord!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

This caller is not funny. Heck, he used his shotgun to kill thieves?

Nope...that was not funny, but what's more disturbing are the comments on the YouTube page.

Someone who breaks into somebody's home is a piece of sh!t, but somebody who goes

out of their way to kill an unarmed fleeing burglar is lower than ####.

I'm completely for self defense, and my thoughts would even be different if the perps were known to be armed,

or had just committed some heinous crime.

This was not self defense, this was pre-meditated murder.

Reminds me of hearing about someone who went to their local sheriff/police department to ask how they could

legally kill someone.
