Maybe you should hook up with my boss, he went hog hunting on his 300 acres out in Hearne, during the day, in his truck. long story short, he now has to replace his neighbors Donkey. :bonk:. Even though the ground was all torn up, they didn't even see a hog, I guess the truck was just too loud

We meet this other couple at the USEM. She and my wife have become fast friends.

We went down and did some hog trapping on Sunday, they are many of these wild hogs in this area

Do they still have to go on a training when shooting guns? do they have this in Tennessee?

tennessee has some fabulous hog gunting, but it's not like in phils. the hogs there are bigger, and meaner than snot. they can be dangerous, and are not trapped. you have to stalk them and shoot fast. the best gun for hog, IMHO, is a 12 gauge auto with slugs.

the hogs in tenn are a cross between farm hogs and wild european boar stock that was released into the area for sport hunting about 100 years ago, so they are smarter than a wild hog, and as big as 800 pounds, but average 250-400 pounds at 4 years age. some folks hunt them with handguns, bow and arrow or even knife, but i would prefer the shotgun if charged by a big one.

tennessee has hunter safety courses that take about 8 hours to finish, and liscenses for hunting. getting a gun is just a matter of money if you can qualify for immigration. once you get your green card and have 90 days residence, you are good to go. take your husband along, cause somebody has to carry that pig out.

No training in Texas to hunt, Hogs are considered nusiance animals and can be killed year round.

Usually they are shot and left for the coyotes to eat

The other girl has shot 3 deers this year, they own 900 acres or about 350 hectares, Of Prime Hunting land. Ducks/Hogs/Deers........

oh no the poor animals =(

not had much experience with hogs, have you? if you had the misfortune of coming up on one in the wild, there's a good chance they'll chase you. you figure out what happens if they catch you.

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.

typically, a used remington 1100 semi-auto or remington 870 pump action shotgun, which can be used for anything from bird hunting at up to 50 metres to big game at under 100 metres, is about $250-400. a 243 bolt action ($300-700) is a good rifle for deer and hogs up to 300-400 pounds if shot from 50-250 yards, but not if charging from close range. a better choice for big game up to 150-200 metres would be a 35 remington or 30-30 lever action marlin ($300).
