Best of luck, mamalou. but don't get depressed. NOA2 is just around the corner for u. I know is a great celebrating reason, but on the long run doesnt make a big difference if u get it tomorrow or on 5th january. would be just a psychological push-up. because nothing much will happen before new year, i think. post wont work normal to get yr case to NVC, NVC will get new year free days just as yr case gets there. so my advice would be to make peace with the idea that new year will bring u the answer to yr prayers, and if it happens before, it will be a great surprise. in order to be happy, u have to make peace with what u can not change.

enjoy life,

It can take another 30-60 days for your approval after the RFE is recieved.

I sure understand your frustration, and yes the service centers are slow as molasses. It is especially hard during the holidays because there are so many days off that they aren't working on cases.

Just hang in there, the approval will come. Just take one day at a time, and remember to just forget the process on weekends and holidays. Just reflect on all of the good things in your life. Your day will come, trust me.

I am starting to wonder, what is going on in Vermont and is it fair for us compared to how fast the visas get processed in California and compared with some K-1 visas.

We started filling since april but because of a mistake we got our returned and finally got NOA1 in May 2008

then the receipt of the NOA1 gets lost and we finally get some answers by phone

to just finally get our 129F underway to get this also send back for being wrong address.

So this now is dated till Aug 2008

it's been over 8 months since we started and yet we been touched maybe 2 times for each and not in the past 2 months

The distance and the time separated is getting to much to handle

Is there anyway that this will go faster?

Have you looked up the information for the ombudsman? You can write him an email and he will look into your case. Make sure to give him details to all of the problems along with any backup to prove it. After he decides your case warrents investigation they will write to the service center and will give them 30 days to respond. Sometimes this gives the service center enough of a kick in the butt to get them moving.

Hi Mamalou,

Don't get depressed. You need to make yourself happy with a song, or talking to your significant other, or whatever that cheers you up, may be ice cream. our timeline for I-130 is exactly like yours; we got approved on December 15th. We got very happy, but we have not received any paper work, not even the paper NOA2, not even an email. Only the website was updated that we got approved. I suspect even this stage of it will take a long time.

Here is my recommendation of what to do. Write letters and emails to your congressman, and senator, and call them as much as you can. It will make a difference, and it will help you as well.

Don't worry, be happy,

HAPPY HOLDIAYS TO ALL,

Sunshine
