Having a really hard time finding hotels close to the consulate that arent expensive, less than 100 a night is the goal, any sugestions?

There are no Holiday Inns or inexpensive hotels downtown near the consulate that I can think of. If you can book a night at the W Hotel. It's absolutely amazing, and it's only a 10min walk to the consulate tops, you could probably get there in 5 mins.

Hotel Centre-Ville is right across the street from the consulate and it's less than 100 a night for January. My hubby has his interview Jan 13 and that's where he's going to stay. Their website is http://www.hotelcentreville.com. On their homepage, they have their "Promotions" where you can save money by booking early - for us it was only $73.95 CAD for 1 night.

I-130 mailed: 7/29/08

NOA1: 8/4/08

NOA2: 8/18/08

I-129F mailed: 8/7/08 (Going CR1 instead)

NOA1: 8/11/08

NOA2: 8/25/08

NVC Received: 8/22/08

DS3032 Emailed: 9/4/08 (Accepted by NVC 9/12/08)

Paid AOS fee: 9/8/08

I-864 mailed: 9/11/08 (Received at NVC 9/15/08)

Paid IV fee: 9/12/08

DS230 mailed 9/26/08 (RFE on PCC - was told could ONLY be from RCMP?!, NVC received new PCC from RCMP on 10/30/08)

Case Complete 11/5/08

Interview 1/13/09
