I'm sorry to say that I prefer reliable cars.

Why did you buy a Japanese piece of ####### then?

LOL

I was wondering how the US is still years behind the foreign counterparts in terms of infrastructure, and technology.

Prove it. Most electronics are developed outside. The only technology that really is ahead is microprocessor development. Medical Equipment, Satellites, etc...components are designed by Japanese, Germans, etc...

The Nobel Laurette originated in another country prior to coming to the US. They were recognized like 40 years later by the Nobel commitee.

So what? Are you sure the German prize winners were really Germans? Maybe they had some Baltic or Slavic blood?

:ot2: Ok, so I really don't feel so bad for those belonging to the UAW. Did you know that even if they are laid off, they still receive 95% of their salary for TWO YEARS...benefits included? There are many people that are and will truly suffer through these economic problems...for them I feel sorry. The UAW will be just fine!

This is why these guys are in trouble to begin with.....UAW is counterproductive to the industry. Pay for no work! How about all the non-unionized white collar workers? I'll be they get nada, and rightfully so!

If you're going to cost cut by shutting down it makes no sense to pay employees a salary. Many industries do furlough their workforce time and again but pay only benefits, such as medical. No wages.

The Bush adminsitration should deny Chrysler any monies on this point alone.....They just don't get it!
