Times are tough and frequent calls to my fiance in the Philippines can get very expensive so her family and I gave her a Vonage internet phone device so that we can call her regularly and can talk as much as we want for a flat monthly fee. Will this be acceptable as proof of regular communication? When I use my ATT account to call her, the number doesn't show up on my bill. Do I need to get long-distance again to show that I call her regularly?

I'm using a service called Callcentric, cheaper then Vonage

You can access a call log and print out the last 40 calls made

I didn't take any phone logs for interview.

They only want basic info.

Birth Cert, Pictures of Meeting, Passport stamp.

I use my T-Mobile cell phone. They have a plan where I can call Thailand for .26 cents per minute. So I call her with that, talk for 1-10 minutes. Then her number shows up on my bill every month. Other times I just use calling cards. NYC has so many types. I get a card for 5 dollars and can talk for almost 6 hours on it.

Try packetel.com or localphone.com. These will get you a local number to call and then forward your call overseas via internet at very cheap rates (since most people have free local calls, this works well). Connections can be a bit dodgy from time-to-time (not connecting, cutting off), but for the most part, has been very good call quality. I call to Thailand for 2-3cents per minute, depending on the provider. I'm sure they have a good rate for other countries as well. IMHO, well worth the 5 or 10 bucks initial credits to try them out. And no I don't work for them, I'm just impressed with the price and happy that it works well for me.

Edit - and these services also have convenient downloadable online records of calls.
