I wonder why some don't want to see the border with Canada protected with the same vigor as our southern border?

It's like installing a security system on one side of the home and not the other. It's retarded. Crime isn't static, it adapts to countermeasures.

While I've never personally had a problem with the U.S. Agents on the Canadian Border (it's always been the Canadians that took a liking to me), I have known of people who have. Recently I was with a tour that was returning to the U.S. after 2 days in Canada. The tour bus was stopped and all of the passengers were given "the treatment". One of them was slammed against a wall after he went for, gasp, HIS SHOES! This was before the Bush/Shoe incident, or as I like to call it B.S., so that wasn't a factor. They had the entire crew lined up in the snow with no coats or shoes on. Finally one of the more intelligent Agents realized that they were screwing up and allowed them all to put on their coats and shoes. I guess there was a little scene where they were all bickering amongst each other. My point is that they can be a bit zealous on our Northern Border as well.

The main reason, they're either too lazy to go do it in person or just can't plain afford to make such a ridiculous trip to the Mexican border.
