Well, praise the Lord!

I finally got to see my prodical wife face to face today for almost 2 hours, and it was amazing. She was amazing!

The guards at the facility are extremely nice and accommodating, and let us spend much more time than we were initially allowed since there were no other visitors.

We managed to discuss all of our issues, and worked out the obvious former pains within our marriage. I do not think we've ever had a face to face discussion quite like that--and so much needed! We both left our conversation fulfilled, excited to see each other, and not wanting to leave each other's presence.

I thank my God in heaven for giving us the grace to start building a restored marriage after all we've been through.

There are so many negative threads in this section of the forums, but I am grateful that I can finally post a positive one.

A "Positive" Effect of Major family Changes!

I will get to see her again tomorrow also, and will be able to rescue her from the clutches of ICE next week soon as her bail hearing concludes.

We have a lot of work ahead of us, and it will take a commitment from us both.

Please pray for us for while we endure immigration at a greater degree now.

Our information here will always be kept anonymous, so you'll never know who we were. Those of you who were concerned about that before, don't be. Out of 8 billion people, why does it matter? Surely something said in my threads has been of assistance to someone over the past few weeks, in spite of some of the negativity that certain individuals could not help themselves from proclaiming. Once my wife comes home, we'll only post here if we're doing so together, and quite possibly on our main account again.

Just know that God still answers prayer. He can take what we destroyed as imperfect humans, and create something beautiful out of it to His glory.

Don't forget, one of the greatest lessons I've learned is that marriage is not a 50/50 partnership; but rather, it is a 100/100 united commitment. Give it your all, and don't be so quick to give up and quit--there's still hope for light, no matter how dark the day, if you trust in God.

Our Lord be praised!

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Thanks!

For the men, there's nothing like watching a game where a team is down by four touchdowns at half-time. They could easily give up and toss in the towel (like many married couples these days), but if they don't lose heart, determine what's going wrong and fix it, they can come out fighting in the second half. We've seen so many teams do so valiantly, and pull off a great comeback in an upset against all odds.

If you still have a chance to fight for your marriage and family, you should put all your heart into it; and with God's help, there's still a chance for recovery.

If the Lord can restore our marriage after such catastrophic struggles in the begining stages, then He can restore anyones' marriages if they'll let Him.

I know many of you faithfully prayed for us, and I want you to know that God heard you in secret, and He shall reward you openly for doing so.

Again, I say thank you all for the advice and support these weeks.

I need to read your previous posts before replying.. Anyway, I am happy to hear that everything is falling into it's proper place. The lessons you have learned would make of you better individuals hence better partners. Good luck and may GOD bless both of you.

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever......

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."
