EAD and State Id and Driver lincense

I would like to know if when you got your EAD, was issue for a whole year?? , i.e if you got in 12/10/08- 12/09/09 or 12/10/08 - 12/10/09... I want to know because mine the expiration date is one day before it was issued, I tried to get my driver license and State Id and I was told I was not eligible for them because my EAD is 364 for days and not 365 as their policy requires it... I mean I think is ridiculous, i would understand if my EAD was for 11 months, 6 months or so, but just because 1 day??? Does anybody has been in the same situation????

12/10/08 to 12/09/09 is EXACTLY 365 days - they need to go to an office that can count better, or at least has a calendar.

When they treat you like this, you need to call a supervisor or go to a different office (you are NOT required to go to a specific DPS office).

. . no, I'm not including Feb 29. Valid dates are 12/10/08 through 12/09/09, inclusive. The next card will be valid as of 12/10/09. There is no overlap, but there's no gap, either.

I forgot to mention that:

The lady in the driver license place, told me to go to immigration and asked them to give another EAD with the dates matching for a whole year, as if dealing with immigration was as easy as buying ice cream!!! I thought about laughing in her face. I really doubt immigration will issue me another EAD just because I cant get a Id State or Driver License!!!

Correct, the OP is dealing with a MORON.

You can find MORONS everywhere.

• SSA offices, having hard time with K-1 visas
• Banks Insisting on SSN
• HR insisting on SSN for health ins.
• DMV Thinking a year has 364 days in it.

I will try to go to another office, and see what they say this time. I really need the driver license, I don't really want to drive around without a it!!

Sorry you had a moron experience.

We had sort of an opposite experience. When my hubby applied for a State ID card with his 1-year valid EAD, they gave him a 5-year valid ID card!
