i'm still on the process of collecting my AOS papers..

also thinking if i will apply an EAD and AP or not

because i won't be working until my baby turns 2

Congratulations! When did you file your AOS to Chicago? After Bio appointment, how long can you receive the mail for interview?

If you are planning not to work right away..it would be better for you to just wait for your Green card coz that will authorize you to work when you have your Green card. The EAD is only good for one year from the date of issue .That way you save money too.

Why need an AP? are you planning to go out side the US? You don't need one as long as you will not stay for more than a year..you will do fine..you can travel without the AP.I went home to the Philippines for almost 5 months without an AP but never had a problem with immigration getting back here in the US. Good luck.
