Who would've thought... weren't liberals supposed to be blind believers in Obama?

They still cling to their "Messiah".

They're just a bit confused as to who this guy really is. Welcome to my world I say!

The guy's never been vetted so why are they surprised?

Poor kaydee. :P

If 'they're confused,' and you are welcoming them to your world... then that does say a lot doesn't it?

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Some people believed he is more liberal than he really is. So what? That was part of the 'fear mongering' of the loony right by the way, something most people simply didn't believe and are not surpised about now. He's a politician, and an intelligent guy so I am interested to see what he actually achieves, I am certainly not worried about what some left of center folks think they voted on and are now disappointed in.

Too bad as that what happens when you vote for someone that has no experience, no record, and only superficial attributes.

What? Sarah Palin's running again? Sweet!

Oh, now we're going to just make things up again? Sarah Palin's experience and resume dwarfs that of "President Elect" Obama....

Geezes. He's not even in power yet, and being attacked already. This tells how most people are. Do before ask.

The discussion is about his choices for his administration and the bias they are percieved to have that's contrary to the leftist image that 'liberals' imagined Obama to have, and that he himself projected during his candidacy.

He's not what "move-on" types expected thus far. Too bad as that what happens when you vote for someone that has no experience, no record, and only superficial attributes.

Or the image that fear-mongering right-wingnuts claimed that Obama was supposed to uphold as being a socialist, leftist, [name your label here], etc.

Who would've thought... weren't liberals supposed to be blind believers in Obama?

Hey, now wait a minute.

Although I could not vote, it did not stop me from talking diehard republicans into voting for Obama.

(Well, I think I did, haha.)

The thing is, I may be labelled a liberal by people who insist on labeling people, and I already understood that there was no way Obama could hold true to his word(s).

It was just too good! :P

I'm talking about from waaaaayyy back when he first hit the national scene.

Midway he had already started to soften on some of his stances and then he even completely did a 180 on other issues.

What can I/we say?

That's politics.

And we swallow it all...don't we.

If we didn't, then things like this would not happen and elected officials would be held to task.

Pinned to the wall so to speak.

Welcome to the land of the people-with-shrugging-shoulders.

Bah!

Apathy is rampant.

:o

ETA: "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." (???)

He has to take a middle road, Spirit. A President that holds liberal views cannot accomplish a liberal agenda overnight in such a polarized nation where fear holds so much sway.

Too bad as that what happens when you vote for someone that has no experience, no record, and only superficial attributes.

Drum roll, please.

Kaydee maintains that George w bush is one of the best us presidents in history.

Says it all for his judgement...

That's an objective opinion based on my experience and perspective having observed five or six U.S. Presidents in my lifetime.

How many have you had the privilege to second guess based on your own limited experience?

My best assessment of your opinions is that you simply wish to be part of the populist movement that brought this guy, Obama, into office. How shallow.

Kaydee's assessment of the democratic process in this nation is indeed quite telling, pathetic, and insulting. No matter how many Presidents one gets to obsess over, reality is what it is.

Bush may well have been the 'best' president for Kaydee. It would certainly be the case if he was one of those scheister bankers selling the house of cards that got us into the economic mess we are currently in. Or, perhaps he's an oil magnet? Or a car manufacturing executive?
