proof we have met...

this was a reply to another post, but since it has to do with the exact opposite of that post (possibly sending TOO much information), i have decided to ask it here. it is in regards to proof of having met/seen your fiance within the past 2 years of sending in the I-129F:

my problem is that i have been LIVING with my fiance for the better part of the last 2 years. we have loads of photographs of us together, but no emails, phone logs, texts, flight tickets, etc. because we just haven't done any of that! i am going to describe the situation in the letter, and include my pay stubs and bank statements and anything with my name and u.k. address on it (along with the same from him), just to show we have been residing at the same address. i *think* our original mobile phone plan has both of our names on it, even though it was hand-written and my name isn't on the electronic bills. the pay stubs, bank statements, and university invoices i have date from october/november 2004-january 2006. he pays all of the bills, so they're all in his name.

any other suggestions of proof that we've been living together?

(all of these newbie questions, i know...)

We lived together too. Here's what we used...

Apartment lease

Bills in my name, bills in his

Take away receipts (I know!! we used everything but the kitchen sink!!)

My Mobile bills in my name showing numerous texts to his mobile and vice versa

E-mails sent during the day...i.e. 'What time will I pick you up from work"

His Irish work authorization...you can show your study(?) permit to be in the UK

You say you have pay stubs, bank statements, and university invoices at this address..isn't that proof you live there with him? Also, you're tax forms should have this address too, so this is more proof.

We also had lots of photos of us, from nights out, family things etc...Don't stress..you'd be surprised how much info you'll have once you start gathering stuff!! :)

We were all newbies once too y'know, so ask away!

03.04.2009......Posted I-130 to U.S. Embassy

03.04.2009......Ordered Police Certificate for Visa Purposes from Local Garda Office (ordered over the phone)

03.05.2009......I-130 received at Embassy

03.06.2009......Received Police Cert

03.18.2009......I-130 Approved

09.10.2009......Medical Exam

09.23.2009......Embassy receives Notice of Readiness

10.13.2009......Received our interview date

10.29.2009......Successful interview!

11.5.2009........Visa received in post

11.7.2009........All the family flew to the US together :)

12.20.2009......Received Welcome to America letter

12.24.2009......10 year Greencard received in the mail

any other suggestions of proof that we've been living together?

(all of these newbie questions, i know...)

Side note: what visa status have you been living in the UK with? Have you investigated whether or not London would accept an I-130 from you? (DCF case) You may be eligible if you have been living there for 2 years, even if you do not have an ILR stamp.

We were living together outside the US with little 'official' documentation. We provided a letter from our landlady and our sworn statements (petitions and applications). We were by that time married, and had set up a joint bank account and had an auto insurance policy in both names and other misc. stuff. None of it was submitted or requested.

As Yodrak suggest, look in the AOS forum for ideas of proof of living togetheer. You don't have to prove co-mingling of your finances or anything---mail addressed to you each individually at the same address shows that you are living in the same place.

yep, i am going to use a lot of the mail we have received, as well as photos of us together and letters from his sister, mum, and possibly his best mate stating we have been living together. i am here on a student visa, but will be leaving about 4 months short of 2 years.
