I'm filling out the I-129F form now, and just need some clarification about Question 18. It asks have you met and seen your fiance over the past two years, then it says to "Describe the circumstances under which you met".

Does that mean the very first time my fiance and I met each other? Or do I list all the times we've met in person in the last 2 years?

I'm sorry if this answer can be found elsewhere on the site, I just wanted to get some quick feedback if I could.

Thanks for your help!

You can describe how you orginally met your fiance, but the important point is have you met in person in the last two years. List the dates you have met in person in the last two years. You should also have proof of meeting in person in the last two years.

Here is info from the forum's FAQ on providing evidence of having met in person which should be submitted along with the I-129F:

You need to send copies of evidence that you and your fiance(e) have met personally within the previous two years. Items such items as photos, copies of passport stamps, copies of airline tickets, help prove this. In the past many petitioners faced a delay when the USCIS (INS) sent them a request for additional evidence or information.

Follow the advice in the "Guides" tab for the I-129F package. It is very helpful.

Best of luck.

If you need more space to date and document all of your meetings in person, you can always use a separate sheet of paper, and of course do not forget to sign and date it.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I only put the first meeting place and circumstances (dinner at friends house) on the form. I also supplied pictures, etc. from subsequent meetings. It all worked fine, and we were approved. The question is designed to show if you met through relatives, etc., or anything indicating fraud. The proof is to demonstrate that you have met face-to-face. Two different things.
