Hello guys!!!!

I just read the USCIS instructions regarding the K1 visa application. Sad to say we weren't able to send a cover letter and the letter of intent to marry from me and from my fiance....

Do you think we should contact customer service about it or have to wait if they are going to send us an RFE or something? But calling customer service is really hard to get through or to talk to them. Always an answering machine.....what should we do?

I really need your help guysss....... :help::help::(:(

we're married and didn't have to do a "letter of intent" but I agree with the former poster that it's better to stay a step ahead if you can....good luck. I just think a fiance' visa would be obvious that you would marry but now that we're dealing with the "journey" i've found obvious isn't a statement immergration officers are familar with.

Well from my understanding you can't send that to them before they send you RFE . they will not look at it so you have to wait till they send you RFE

Good luck

Nothing's impossible . Nothing's unreachable .When I am weary you make me stronger

This love is beautiful .So unforgettable . I feel no winter cold when we are together .

Will you stand by me ?!!!Hold on and never let me go .

Will you stand by me?!! With you i know i belong . When the story gets told .

When day turns into night .I look into your eyes . I see my future now .All the world and its wonder

This love wont fade away. And through the hardest days . I will never question us .You are the reason my only reason.

I'm blessed to find what i need in a world loosing hope. you are my only believe .

You make things right every time after time.....

Will you stand by me ?!!!

I love you so much and i miss you so much more .

Don't wait for any RFE.

This is not the right advice.

Anything you send now will never get to your petition so sending it is a waste of your time and energy. Can you imagine them digging through the thousands of petitions they get to find yours???

Not everyone has sent a cover letter or letters of intent and not everyone has received an RFE for doing so. Just prepare the documents just in case and sit back and hope for the best.

First, I expect you were "able" but for one reason or another "failed" to send a cover letter and letters of intent.

It is not likely to do any good to send them now. I'd wait for an RFE or rejection, most likely an RFE for the letter of intent. For the rest of the process, study the guides and form instructions, interpret literally and respond honestly and accurately.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Well, if you find it not a good advice then that is your point.

Anyway, i would want to take a step than not doing anything about it that you will regret at the end.

To hot guy, I don't agree that they will not process any letter send to them aside from RFE. Each petition has assigned case number which is easy to locate.

To Steven_brenda, it's up to you if you want to wait for RFE.

Me and my fiance sent the whole package with the letter of intent to marry and all those proof of relationship. A cover letter is not necessary though but the letter of intent to marry is necessary if you have not provided pictures that you were engaged or receipt of the engagement ring.

Note: These documents are not the reasons to deny your petition. You will just have to expect for an RFE and will extend your agony of waiting NOA2 approval.

Have a nice day guys.

Angel&Saint

Newbie :P j/k. An engagement ring reciept or pic means NOTHING. They want a signed statement saying you intend to marry this person. that's why it's in the instructions. If they wanted a ring pic they'd ask for a ring pic. You can go ahead and send something if you'd like but MOST LIKELY (not guaranteed) it won't get put with your file and you will possibly get an RFE. If you decide to send it now, then go ahead and get a 2nd copy in case of an RFE. Don't bother calling the help center. They are not connected with the actual service centers and are the most ignorant group EVER per the name misinformation line. If you feel you want to send something now, go ahead but be prepared for an RFE when someone gets around to looking at your petition.

Dont send in anything until you get an RFE - if you get one

If you do happen to receive on they will send you an RFE letter which you have to copy and send back to them. I received an RFE for his passport pic not being a 2x2. When they sent the packet back to me the cover letter was gone and it had been rearanged how they wanted it. Something like this you may never receive and RFE. So dont worry about it until you recieved something.

I did not send a cover sheet and the case went through with no problems. We did however send letter of intent to marry one filled out by each of us. I dont think it will do any good to send it before you get a RFE because I dont think they will get it put with your case. They have so many cases on file until the request information from you it probably will not end up in the correct place. Good Luck
