Hello,

Can I pay the visa fee right before the interview in cash or do I have to fill out the online payment confirmation form??? O_O I have my interview on wedensday, will I get the digitally-signed receipt in time?

Persons applying in Germany for a visa to travel to the United States are required to complete an online payment confirmation form in order to obtain a secure receipt for the visa processing fee.

you can do it a day before becasue you will get your 157 paper stamped that you need to bring to interview

You need a Frankfurt specific answer to be certain but I think you've quoted something that references tourist visas. The foreign fiance will receive instructions from the Consulate as to how to pay the visa fee.
