Hi guys! I arrived here in US for a week now and praise God for making my trip smooth and safe. Finally, I'm with the man that I wanna grow old with for the rest of my life. It was already past 8pm when PAL landed at LAX and we stayed at the hotel for 1 day then drive home to Scottsdale, AZ. I'm still in the process of adjustment right now and believe me it wasn't easy at all!!! My hubby is working for 12 hours everyday and he started to leave the house for work at crack of dawn and come home before 5pm :( Have to kept myself busy inside the house like doing some household chores just not to notice the time. I really miss the food in the Philippines especially tinolang manok or isda. How I wish next week I could start cooking our own filipino food. Though my hubby was trying to get me rice and chop suey from a chinese restaurant and i like it though :P Tips for those who has their e-ticket book by your fiance, expect to pay for travel tax amounting to 1,620p aside from the terminal fee 750p. Hope to hear my Vjer's here in Arizona too. I would like to invite you in our simple church wedding that would be soon :dance::dance: . Thank you guys for being a part of my wonderful journey. God Bless Us all!!!!!

Be careful on what you eat especially in the US.. You will gain weight quicker.. Observe what you eat and avoid rice as much as possible.. Learn also how to ccok for your husband and prepare American dishes as well.. Just go to foodnetwork.com

Thank you for the reminders my dear :)

That's great news! For me & my fiancee when she finally arrives it will be like a dream... we have had so many delays & setbacks that I almost lost faith. If all goes well she will FINALLY be here in November. I plan to meet her out in San Francisco (I live north of Atlanta) & we will spend two days there in the Fisherman's Wharf area. I will look for some sort of Filipino social group for my fiancee so she can meet some people from her country. I suggest the same for you... I realize that being in the USA must be a big culture shock. I also know that women tend to be much closer to their family than men, so being away from family must be hard as well.

Good luck to both of you & I hope that you live happily ever after.

Welcome to AZ we arrived in Mesa almost 2 weeks ago. On Sunday after church, I took Riza to a pretty good Filipino Restaurant called the Jeepney Bistro in Chandler on Alma School Road north of Warner. When we walked through the door her nose came alive, she said it smelled like home. She approved completely of the Lumpia Shanghai, and liked the taste of the other dishes. about 1 mile west of the Jeepney Bistro on Dobson and Warner is a large Asian Supermarket called LeeLee market. They have a lot of stuff that you might find similar to home, and have an aisle with Philippines products. Riza said that se didn't recognize the brand of soy sauce I bought her there, but the taste of the soy and calamansi was very familiar.

Today is her bridal shower, my family and friends are throwing it for her.

I hope that you are enjoying it here in AZ, I am sure that Riza would love to chat sometime, share experiences.

-Ryan
