those who got an rfe and after sending your reply, what happened?

we sent our response to the rfe about two weeks ago. And until today, our case haven't been updated on-line. It's been two weeks already since we sent it and we're really worried about it.

Anybody who has this experience that you sent your response to the rfe and you never got any notice from them saying they got it but after a while your case has been processed and applications were approved? How long did it take?

We really need your response coz we are soooo frustrated in this AOS process! We never thought that this will happen to us coz we have provided them everything. Maybe we were just assigned to a veeerrryyy lazy and no-hearted officer.

On my first RFE, they updated the website.

On my second one, its been 2 weeks and I haven't heard or seen a word. I'm with you. Maybe you will get to the mailbox and your letter of approval will be sitting there.

Don't count on the website. We received our NOA in early January, the last online update on our status. The AOS was approved August 27, but the website still shows only the NOA in January.

I couldn't see my case online at the time, but about a month later I had reason to call USCIS and because my case wasn't accessible online, the first line operators could not access it either (this is a good thing if you want to talk to someone who *might* be able to help), and thus I was escalated to an actual IO who told me that my RFE response was received 6 days after I had sent it. When I finally could view my case online, it did say ... RFE response received and case processing resumed.

Did you send your response with some kind of tracking? Everything I've sent them, I've used some trackable shipping method, even the AR-11. I know how troubling it is, because it seems the only thing they don't acknowledge receipt of is the one thing you're most worried they got, since if they didn't, your case would be denied.

thanks for the reply. it's comforting atleast. yah i know, i've heard that we shouldn't count on their website or the technology they're using on this process but still, i can't help but to rely on the information on them.

we're freaking out coz if we hit the 87th day of the rfe deadline and our case on the website haven't been updated yet and it's not saying that they got our rfe reply, we might be denied. so, i need to get any confirmation from them that they got our rfe response.

thanks for the response, dear. well, i'm thinking of any trick or reason to be able to talk to an IO by next week if they haven't updated our case on-line. can you help me with this?

all the packages we send to the uscis have a corresponding return receipt and for this rfe response, we have a return receipt that they got our package. however, we are still anxious to know if our package has actually arrived the table/desk of the officer that is handling our case since it's been two weeks already and they haven't updated our case on-line.

i hope we hear something next week. oh my gosh!!!

It can take a while...try not to sweat it. We replied to our RFE and it was almost a month before they touched the case again. Two weeks after that touch, it was approved!

Hang in there....I know it's frustrating....
