Ach, Chad. I hope you, Lira and your family are ok. Apparently my sister in Nola got out. Another left today with her family. Am I right that Nagin is making evacuation mandatory? I saw that he has buses ready this time. Prayers and wishes are with you!

To the other comments, I know Moore's an idiot and it was only a comment. However, I think he should really just STFU. Seriously, this is 3 years since Katrina and while much of the rest of the world has forgotten, Louisianans haven't. And yeah, I'm a Dem.

I hope your famiiles are ok Chad and Jen. Yes I just heard Nagin on the news saying in no uncertain terms 'get your butts out of here NOW' I guess he tried it the nice guy way last time and is not going to be blamed for any injuries this time. I"m happy to see the buses and hope people are using them. Not worth sticking it out to see what happens to your property. Keep us posted Jen and Chad.

Just talked to one of my sisters. She said mandatory evacuation for all coastal parishes and anyone remaining who is out after curfew will be arrested and sent to Angola!! (the state pen, not the country).

I'm not sure where Chad is, Plaquemines maybe? I hope all is well....

I was watching FOX News yesterday, and the commentators referred to Minnesotta as "The State of 10,000 Liberals." People could get angered by that statement as well. Also, the commentator reflected on the warm weather as, "Good Global Warming Weather." I find this insensitive to the Polar Bears whose habitat is being compromised by Global Warming. Where's their appology???
