Thanks kahm and happyinlove.

But Tuesday call to the operator turned out a real rfe, for 864. Semantics, they did not like that I used a verb in job description, wanted a noun. Had to send them corrected 864 and a letter. Kind of stupid, but ok, since they still processing 230 should not be a delay because of that. Still hoping to be done this week.

Word of warning to all: seems like if they want to, they can issue rfe for any reason, I suspect they do it just to make it look like they work hard and pay attention.

Fedup what you said in job description and what you corrected.

You will be thru NVC soon. Just sit tight.

Good luck.

thanks.

marked self employment on line 22 as marketing. Operator told me they want specific "position" or "job title".

What in the hell is a position or job title in self employment? receptionist/janitor/driver/CFO/CEO ??? :bonk:

Can't really argue with them, so sent a letter with corrected 864.

At least the pile of 864 supporting docs are fine. Not sure they went through all of that though

I have the same thing, Can I put CEO? or Vice President on line 22?

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

What I was told by them, they expect to see a employment "position" or "capacity" but since it's a self employment it should also reflect a business nature. Like "tree cutting contractor" or "cleaning service logistical designer", something like that.

But again, you never know, I suspect they issue RFEs sometimes just to show on record that they are thorough and attentive to detail. They might not like your signature too.
