Options for watching ManU football live in the States?

My wife immigrated to the States three weeks ago on a K-1 visa. She is a huge Manchester United football fan & misses being able to watch the games. Other than an occasional game on Setanta, are there any ways to watch their games live here in the States-possibly over the internet?

I've seen satellite services that offer British channels here in the States but they are ridiculously expensive. Any ideas?

Basically, you need DirectTV. It's an absolute must, as it carries Fox Soccer Channel, and they show all the games that Sky in the UK do, plus some that we don't get in the UK due to the 3pm Saturday blackout rule that operates here. Setanta is also a must, as they now have a much bigger slice of the pie.

Oh, and Utd lost to Zenit St Petersburg tonight - sorry.

Setanta bought the right to the Scottish games, so I should be able to get them over there on Setanta to right?

Fox Soccer Channel is your friend - I think you will get it on most sports packages that cable/satellite/digital companies offer (we have Dish Network). Setanta have a few high profile games from the big 4 that FSC don't have. They also have some rugby.

If you are an RCN customer Fox Soccer Channel is part of the basic package

I've even seen some games on occasion on ESPN, but they tend to be rebroadcasts and are shown at odd hours.

Slingbox works. I'm in the US and watch Britains Got Talent and X-Factor on my computer. I can watch live TV or anything he's recorded. I can control about 3 things remotely from my computer...I forget what they're called, maybe freeview, NTL, and the recorder. I would think actually getting a soccer channel would be best viewing, but Slingbox allows you to watch all UK TV.

When Nick leaves the UK, he's setting up the Slingbox at his friends house.

Setanta has exclusive coverage of Scotland's WC qualifier against Macedonia on Saturday. I know that because I'm watching Arsenal v Newcastle on Setanta right now, and they've just promoted the Scotland game!

I watched the World Cup on the various ESPN channels so if you end up not going with Setanta there is always that option.

FSC has been a life saver. Great watching 3pm games live on a Saturday. We'll also get FA Cup matches on the FSC.

The World Cup games on next week.

Remember you can also download MOTD on UKNova. Which is nice, cause the guys that present the FSC seem abit clueless most of the time.
