Does anyone know why the processing times at VSC would be going backwards? Last month they posted January 17, 2008 for K3 Spouse Visa and now it is January 2, 2008? Plus, they are extremely late this month in posting so kinda expected them to be quite a bit further along. Any insight would be great...we expected them to be in February this month!!

They have finally posted the processing dates of August 15 a full 2 weeks delayed. Instead of giving people hope they actually did go backwards to Jan 2 from Jan 17.

They did posted for California for August as well and went backwards with dates just as in VSC. There is one difference with I130 petition, VSC is showing for Sept 2007 while CSC Jan 2008.

Ive notice at least since June that the dates posted for VSC and CSC are always the same, I dont think you should put much stock in what they post on the site, it always seems to be late being posted and if you read what people are posting on this site, those dates posted are not correct.

I agree. The only problem is that they hide behind those dates. If you call them, or have your congressman call them, they just say, "we're within our processing times." So there is no recourse unless they are outside of those times. They should post processing times of August 1, 1948. That way they could just play a recording when you call saying "don't bother us, we are within the posted processing times"

these dates really are a joke...i dont really buy any of it...these dates are just a cushion for USCIS employees just so when someone calls yelling at them they have something to back themselves up....why else would u think that the dates are either one month or fifteen days backward or forward every single time...its very clear that they just come up with these dates speculating by either one full month or half a month....folks, please dont bother urself with these dates...they will only drive u crazy.

Exactly my concern...if your case is outside those times your congressman will call and inquire for you and maybe get somewhere. It is at least nice to be able to feel like you can do SOMETHING other than wait....

Wouldnt be the first time...

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!
