Divorce decree sample?

Hey there! I would like to know from you guys if this one if the final divorce decree or no?! I don't understand if this is just what the lawyer proposed and jusdge still have to sign it or if this is it! The lawyer told us is still waiting for a document about child support...Can you guys help me out once again?! Thank you!!!

It looks similar to the divorce decree which my OH was issued and subsequently the one we have sent of with our I-129F.

It's not official until the judge signs it. After that it usually gets recorded at the county court house. A truly official copy has the judges signature and the recording stamp from the county.

Just to clarify, the one I have looks like that but is signed by an official.

So the signature on the top right corner of the first page (i delete part of it) is not the one that we need I guess! Uff! =( Can't wait the right one gets ready nomoreeee!!

Oh ok! still, i was reading the email the lawyer sent to my fiance with it...it says Attached is a copy of the Decree of Dissolution and Final Orders which was granted by Judge P...... on August 28, 2008, but back dated to the date of the hearing, August 21, 2008.

we don't know what to think at this point!!!

Go to the courthouse and see the clerk, they can give you the officially filed one for a few bucks. Mine was 8 pages long and cost me $12 for an embossed copy. Yours looks like it's 3 pages, so it should be even less. It's usually available from the clerk one day after it's been filed, which normally is done the day the judge signed it.

ok thank you!! i guess we'll have to do something different cuz i'm in Italy and he's deployed in iraq...thats one it's hard for us! maybe we can use one of those services where u can orderer copy of it and they ship it to u? Mmmm...but still if it's not thr final one they wouldn't have a copy of it ...LOL! So confusing...again!!!

Marriage and divorce are usually public record, so anyone should be able to get them. I got mine 2 days ago with no proof of who I was or anything. Maybe a mom or sister or someone can get them for you?

I wish...he's in colorado, they're in florida...unfortunately with the Army he always hard to have the family closed! I guess we'll have to figure out something about it...

So he did get the child supprot document, signed by the Judge but the divorce decree didn't get to his mail box yet...this is frustrating us big time! We ordered it trought the court house website 10 days ago and we didn't get an answer yet...OOOOHHHH! Uff! We might just send this one and wait for a RFE?! What you think?

Every States divorce decree is different. My copy was one page but we've had some ( I think it was texas ) that were like load of pages. so, it's hard for anyone else to know if this is his final decree.

I woudn't send it until you are 100% certain you have it because if you filed when he wasn't legally able to marry they will mail your entire petition back to you.

Just fyi... I believe the armed forces have an immigration liason to help you with these matters. You may want to have your fiance check.

I know you're excited and anxious about sending your I-129F away, but PLEASE, wait until you have what you need to send the package away. You're only going to get delayed for not having the right paper anyway, and I would suggest that the wait will be longer for the RFE, than it will be to get the correct papers in the first time.

I understand your advices completly and thak you about them. Unfortunately in Iraq they don't take care of Visas and we're already lucky he has a understanding commander that doesn't make him any problems about the whole situations...so you're right I just need to be patience. We'll try to contact the lawyer on monday and see what he says about it ..I will keep you updated it on this and thank you again!
