How long do I wait for the NVC case number?

It's been 2 days since i've approved...still havent gotten hardcopy of NOA2 from CSC, and I dont think NVC has received my case yet.

It's been 2 days since i've approved...still havent gotten hardcopy of NOA2 from CSC, and I dont think NVC has received my case yet.

How long did it take?

It took 5 days before an operator was able to tell me the NVC case number.

It took at least another 3 days before I could access my case from the AVR (automated voice response system).

Seriously, relax.

Sometimes it takes awhile...even up to a couple of weeks.

We got our hard copy NOA2 within a week....our case was sent to NVC in 3 days.

Awwww come on Laura, surely it hasn't been so long since you were antzy :-)

It's easy to tell people to relax when you're on the downside of the hill.

We're nowhere close to where you're at, but I can still see how,

as things get closer it's easier to be calm...but back in the USCIS days...

I remember quite well but I didn't get all stressed out over 2 days....

If it had been weeks I would have been like..."Hello, what's going on"???

2 days is quite normal....nothing is instant in this process....these things take time.

We got approved at VSC on Friday, 8/22. On Tuesday the 26th they told me still not received, then on Wednesday they said it was received Tuesday and gave me the case #. I figured that was pretty good for being approved on a Friday. Only 2 business days.

It is nice to hear them read you that consulate case number!

I received the hard copy NOA2 yesterday.

I called NVC 9 or 10 PM eastern time and it was pretty easy to get through.

I got my NOA2 hardcopy 7 days after I was approved and NVC received my case 14 days after I was approved. It is different for every case

Im not sure whats going on with NVC we have an NOA2 date of Aug 7/08 and to date NVC says we are not in the system... I dont even know at this point if they received it, they arnt telling us anything but that it isnt in teh system and can take up to 90 days.. Im getting pretty upset watching other people around me and after me getting in their system in three days or so... Not sure at this point what to do if there is even anything I can do..

LOL about relaxing. I've actually considered this time between CSC and NVC as "down time" where I don't have to worry about anything. My paperwork is done. I just have to wait for NVC to get the ball rolling again. I don't have to check statuses compulsively because there's nothing to check! I'm on a neurotic holiday! ;-)

Check on Tuesday Morning or even Wednesday. When there is a Holiday it delays things!

I got no paper work done, i just wish my wife was in this too because after waiting so f1ucking long for that I-130 she seems like she doesnt give a flying f1uck.

And thats what irritates me the most...or maybe we havent seen in each other in a year..
