Hi there,

Our case is taking a long time to process, so I heard that it is a good idea to make an INFOPASS appointment on the USCIS website. So I went there, put in our information, but when I get to the calendar to select a date, the calendar looked like this (in both internet explorer AND firefox):

53ppbd.jpg

Am I doing something wrong??? Or does this just mean that there ARE no available appointments? Thanks!

Jennifer :)

It may be because no appointments are available at the moment. When I recently tried to do the same thing I didn't see that screen but a message appeard saying no appointments were available at my local office for the time being.

Hmmm maybe, I even tried clicking on continue, but it just kept saying "please select a date" but there was no way to select one. The government likes playing games with your head, don't they?

Are you talking about AOS? I wouldn't say it's taking a long time to process. You haven't even waited 3 months yet. If after 6 months you are still waiting with nothing, then would be ok to Infopass. If you go now, they will just tell you that you are within the processing timelines. It would just be a waste of your time to go now.

This would be for his EAD. It seems like most May filers have already received their work permit. I know its too soon for the AOS. He's beginning to go a bit stir crazy just sitting around. Just trying to see if this might push things forward a little faster if possible.

Thanks!

Jennifer :)

What is the tenative processing timeline USCIS gives for completing the AOS process?

The problem you are having on the website may be because you do not have Java Runtime installed - the grey boxes look like java applets.

google java runtime install

I would request a service request. When we went to our info pass, that is what they told us to do. We were told that info pass could do nothing with EAD. Might save you some time. Good Luck!!!!
