wow!!! ... just got back from my interview... ALL APPROVED :dance::)

Kinda weird experience though. Got through all the usual security checks (felt like I was boarding a plane!) - and there were loads more people there than i had anticipated. Took a number and sat down. I got a little concerned because I had a ticket in the "immigrant visa" queue, but half my paperwork said "non-immigrant visa", but no matter.

Waited for about an hour and ten minutes before I was called for the first stage. Just gave my documents over and that was fairly formal. Was then told to sit down and wait for the interview itself.

It seemed (according to the screen) there were about 55 people in front of my in the queue. Not entirely sure how it works, but barely two minutes later, I was called. I was chatting to a guy next to me and we were both a bit startled by this, but I went to the window anyway.

No mistake - it was me... the interview lasted no more than two or three minutes, got asked a couple of questions about where we met and when we first met irl, she thumbed through my paperwork and said "yep, you're done" :)

I keep thinking something was missed and it was all a bit too quick? We are only supposed to have two "call-ups" at the embassy right? :)

Me happy!!!!!!!!!!

30 Dec 2005 - 4 Jan 2006 James visits U.S. for New Year!

17 Jan 2006 Sent packet 3 in AGAIN, after embassy said they had no record of the first one!

19 Jan 2006 Received packet 4 (interview date). No connection with mailing on 17 Jan! Interview set for 9:30 on Tue 7th Feb.

07 Feb 2006 APPROVED!!!

01 Apr 2006 James due to fly to America

09 Apr 2006 Wedding date!!

June 25, 2004 - Bruce & I met through mutual friends in my hometown in Newfoundland the night before he was going back to Maine

July 1 - First email between us

July 3 - I called him to wish him a Happy Independance Day

Daily phone calls and emails from there on in

October 20 - Bruce drove back to Newfoundland. He planned on staying a week but it ended up being 3 weeks. We knew for a fact we were in love!

March 19/05 - Bruce back in Newfoundland

April 8 - Bruce picked me up in North Sydney, NS and we drove to Maine. I stayed for a week due to work

July 26 - Bruce back to Newfoundland for another 3 weeks. I can't bear to see him leave.

August 10 - He asked me to marry him.........I had already asked him anyway just to make sure*_*

September 30 - I flew to Boston to meet Bruce there and then we drove back to Maine for 2 weeks

November 18 - We filed I-129F

December 1 - NOA Receipt #

December 28 - Received Packet 3

January 6/06 - Received my Police Certificate of Conduct

January 11 - Sent DS-230 Part 1 back to Montreal Consulate
