anyone wiyh info on how to talk to a live person at uscis

IS IT POSSIBLE TO TALK TO A LIVE PERSPN AT USCIS?

MY FIANCEE AND I FILED OUR PAPERS IN FEBRUARY

AND THOSE AROUND US WHO FILED LATER

GOT THEIR NOA2 ALREADY?

HAS ANYONE ELSE FACED THIS PROBLEM?

According to Phoenix Processing office they will take 5 months to process, lets see if they keep their "promised schedule".. (hahaha yeah right)

08/02/2010 ... Send the paperwork to Phoenix, AZ

08/04/2010 ... Paperwork received at 9am

08/06/2010 ... Check cashed

08/10/2010 ... Touched

08/12/2010 ... NOA arrived (notice date: 08/06/2010; mailed on 08/09/2010)

09/04/2010 ... email: RFE sent on 09/03/2010 (biometrics?? hopefully waiting!)

09/08/2010 ... Touched. BIOMETRICS CAME TODAY! (notice date/mailed on: 09/03/2010; biometrics for 09/22/2010 at 11 a.m.)

.......................... Interview notice date: Oct 1, 2010

11/03/2010 ... Interview 11 am!! (PASSED!!!!)

12/30/2010 ... Oath notice (dated 12/22/2010, mailed on 12/29/2010) for 01/20/2011 at 8am!! FINALLY!!!!

I've never done it.

What I read here is that people call the National number given I think it's on your NOA1.

It appears some have called the Service Center they are being processed through.

I have called the 1800 and only get info from a recording

is there a way to talk to someone and get info?

If you reached a human being, there is nothing they could tell you. Your case is not yet overdue per the posted processing times. Looking at the posted processing date shows that your petition is most likely on someone's desk right now. Seeing that other people around your date are getting notices confirms this.

I know it's annoying, but wait a bit more; I think you can look for news very soon!

I think I've spoken to a live person at least twice -- I called this number: 1-800-375-5283 and just didn't select any of the options. Eventually, it leads you to a real living human being. Just be sure to call within working hours and I would advise calling at like 9:30am too, to beat the "rush."

And imo, calling the NVC is MUCH more aggravating than calling USCIS.

10/14/2006: NOA -- case transferred to CSC

10/30/2006: AOS approved without interview, greencard will be sent! :)

11/04/2006: Greencard arrives in the mail! :-D

... No more USCIS for two whole years! ...
