My 2 favorite quotes since I was teenager (and wrote them in my diary):

"In the midst of winter I found within me an invincible summer" Albert Camus

and

"Hold on to the here, the now, through which all the future plunges to the past" James Joyce (which was more succintly paraphrased as "be here now" by john lennon via Richard Alpert)

I have always found everything I needed to know about how to live life in those 2 quotes.

I also like "Don't knock masturbation, it's sex with someone I love" by Woody Allen
